Ronda Photos (Mon., Mar. 26, 2012)

Other interesting things about Ronda: this was a city of poets, musicians & artists, Orson Wells was buried here, & it was a favorite city of Ernest Hemingway.  Also, Paco said something about the painter Goya, but I couldn’t hear exactly what he said.

Another interesting thing about the buildings here & throughout Spain: the white color of paint they use over stucco is made from a limestone mixture.  The yellow-ochre color that trims a lot of the buildings is supposed to match the color of the bullring soil.  That soil is a special (yellowish) kind that is found in the Seville area, & it is used because it never turns into mud when wet.

A couple of the guys have been noticing what the gas prices are around here.  Seven Euros per gallon!
